Class: Focused: Handles & Lids

  • Art Association 240 S Glenwood Jackson, WY, 83001 USA (map)

This 3-week class will focus on functional details: good fitting lids and handles. Learn how to make a variety of wheel-thrown lids with knobs, handles, and loops for jars, honey pots, and casserole dishes. Also, get comfortable making pulled handles. Learn how to pull and attach a handle, as well as how to pull a handle off of a form - it's all about practice as we aim for the perfect fit on a comfortable mug.

Your class fee provides one bag of clay, firing, glazing and open studio for the duration of the class. Additional clay $15 to $20 per bag. Max: 10 students

This class meets in the ceramics studio of the Art Association, located on the first floor of the Center for the Arts.
