Class: Daytime Beginning Throwing

During this class, students will learn techniques that emphasize the creation of forms on the potter’s wheel; cups, bowls, and plates by learning to throw, trim, alter, pull handles, and slip decoration. Students are encouraged to take additional classes to learn the art of glazing. 6-week class.

This class meets for 6 weeks in the Ceramics Studio at the Art Association

Class: Pottery: Focused Topics

Each session Jenny will address specific aspects in clay usage including: using tools, advanced hand building, troubleshooting your throwing, and discussing design and form. Take one class or all, the sessions are non-sequential. The aim of this class is to make you better at working with clay.

Interested in learning how to throw on the wheel? Jenny will be teaching a 6 week class at the Art Association, 6 - 9 Tuesday evenings, October 13 - November 17.

During this 6-week class, students will learn the techniques for creating forms on the potter’s wheel; from throwing, trimming, and pulling handles, to glaze firing the finished pieces.
