Hand building with slabs can be fast and fun, in this 6-week class we will learn the basics while pushing boundaries. We will learn the differences between hard slab and soft slab, as we make cylinders and boxes to start. Each technique can be whimsical or architectural, perfect for plant pots, boxes, and garden lanterns, etc. Decorating our slab creations will be just as fun - with bold colors and patterns using screen-printing and monotype techniques. Learn the difference between slip and underglaze as we mix and match these bold printing techniques.
