A giant pole puppet
In 2019 Dancers’ Workshop commissioned several artists to imagine and create pole puppets for a summer parade and performance. I worked with Sam Dowd to create a puppet based on an armadillo. Read all about the process in my Journal, here and here
Whodunnit?
This is annual anonymous art show and fundraiser is hosted by the Art Association of Jackson Hole. These are my donations from the past few years. I like to use the challenge of creating a 6x6 inch, wall-hanging artwork to work out new ideas.
A few lighting projects
In 2016 I was invited to create a custom chandelier for the Foyer of the Show House at the Western Design Conference in Jackson, WY. The foyer space, Flying West in Summer, was curated by Agnes Borne Studio and was filled with unique commissioned artwork.
My contribution, Wyoming Sky Lantern, made from steel and porcelain, is in a private home collection in the Pacific Northwest.
In 2015 I was commissioned by Picnic and E / Ye Designs to create a cloud-scape of porcelain pendant lights for the new cafe.
Other Invitational Projects
Random projects are exciting and terrifying at the same time. Never knowing what prompt will spiral into a series or end as a complete derailment is part of the excitement of creating works for collaborative or invitational projects. These are a few of my favorites that I find myself still mulling over. They are interesting objects or solutions or questions.
